Political candidates’ online presence has been growing this decade – and they’ve seen the return in fundraising. Nate Wilcox is a political consultant for the left. He used to live in Austin, Texas and work for the firm Public Strategies. He says online activism begins at the “netroots” – the convergence of the internet and grassroots movements. But Wilcox says online political success still requires the human touch. He and Lowell Feld are the co-authors of Netroots Rising: How a Citizen Army of Bloggers and Online Activists is Changing American Politics.
